Time Freedom

Time - the one thing we can never make more of or get back.
When was the last time you did something that YOU wanted to do?
I found myself frequently saying "I don't have time".
The kids wanted to play or read a book together - but I didn't have time.
I wanted 5 seconds to myself to gather my thoughts - but I didn't have time.
I became frustrated and the guilt weighed heavily on my mind, after all they don't stay babies for long.
I felt as like I simply didn't have enough hours in the day to achieve everything that needed to be done.
The guilt of being a stay at home Mum and not contributing financially was also difficult. I was studying but that just meant more time away from my family and until I was able to land a job it was just costing us money.
Thankfully I was able to find a balance in working online to earn and be present with my kids and family. I get to enjoy life without feeling like I don't have time. I don't have to feel guilty anymore, I get to play, have fun and enjoy my kids while they are still little.
As parents we can be so hard on ourselves, I think it's important not to lose sight of what is most precious to us.

We cannot change the amount of time we have but we can choose how we spend that time.
